  • 36 years ago, this man, Steve Jobs, introduces the Macintosh. Never used a MAC in my life. However, when I watch this video, I feel a certain melancholy, the tears want to come out. It is wonderful to hear the clamor and to perceive the amazement of the public who whistles, screams and applauds for a simple writing that runs on a tiny monitor. And to think that today, a similar thing can be done with a simple notepad in 2 or 3 lines of text. The magnificence that this simple video transpires is unparalleled, one man, facing hundreds of complete strangers presenting the invention that completely changed the world. Try to imagine every single individual of that audience to his first thoughts and futures that he did as soon as he saw that writing scroll and the following images. Try to imagine what the entrepreneurs present there could have started to do. Try to imagine the next day, the whole world, after seeing this, what it could have created. We are not talking about a futuristic vinyl record player or a super-tech Walkman. We are talking about the total change in the life of us human beings. Those people in the audience, could they ever imagine that we would get to what we have now? The man who invented this is gone. He is no longer on earth, among mere mortals. He gave us the future of technology, he gave us a shell that had been closed for years, but now open, he gave us the best frontiers of the technological / science fiction future. Thanks Jef Raskin, thanks Steven Paul Jobs How not to thank him too ... Bill Gates

  • Jobs's choreography is brilliant. To get his employees to whoop and cheer on cue; it actually seems spontaneous.

  • They had to cheat and use a more powerful Macintosh than the 128 that they were launching. (An Upgraded 128 because the 128 was the only Macintosh at the time) (For one of the demos - it might not have been this one)
